Mathilde Tijen Hansen was born in Cologne and grew up in Berlin, where she lives and works. She graduated from the Ostkreuzschule für Fotografie in 2024 under Ludwig Rauch and is currently continuing her studies in Fine Art at the Kunsthochschule Berlin Weißensee. Her work is grounded in the urban space and explores how political power and social change inscribe themselves into the city’s fabric and its perception.
